Mrs. Haroula Christodoulou

Haroula Christodoulou started her career as a freelance correspondent of BBC. In 1991, she joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Greece where her main responsibilities included protocol affairs and humanitarian aid management. In 1997, she resigned from the Ministry to pursue a career in the private sector, where she held executive positions at various Greek “blue-chip” companies. In 2004, she joined the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank and became its Press Officer until today.

She is an active member of the International Public Relations Association (IPRA) and the European Association of Communication Directors (EACD). From March 2009 to April 2011, she was elected as Secretary General of the Society of Interbalkan Women’s Cooperation.

Haroula is a member of many cultural associations and a founding member of the “Journalists Acting” Network, a welfare organization promoting children literacy in Greece, by creating children libraries in remote areas of the country.

Haroula holds and Master’s in Computer Engineering from Sofia Polytechnic and an MBA from Maastricht School of Management.

Besides her native Greek, Haroula is also fluent in English, Bulgarian and French.
