Elena is from Galati Romania, the largest river port on the Danube and the Black Sea, which formulates the second and largest Romanian port.
She Graduated from Galati Danubius University, Law Faculty with Master Academic Studies on “Law and European Public Administration” and “European Law”as specializations.
Elena is European Affairs Advisor at Association for Sustainable Development PRUT- DUNARE – FLAG, with ample experience in SMEs internationalization and cooperation within Black Sea Basin.

Elena has also worked as Coordinator on Galati Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, Enterprise Europe Network and Association of Cross Border Cooperation “Lower Danube Euroregion”.

She is married and mother of a boy.

Abstract

The role of FLAGs on Euroregions and Black Sea Basin

• Umbrella organizations visible at local, national and regional level

• Formulation of policies of mutual interest starting from local communities needs

• Strengthening cooperation on Black Sea Region with the involvement of NGOs, public and private sector on a constructive agenda.
